![]() ![]() Phi Alpha joined the Association of College Honor Societies in 1962. The honor society now has over 450 chapters. The charter chapters were Florida State University, Michigan State University, Ohio Northern University, Central State College, University of Dayton, and the University of Tennessee. The departments of History and Philosophy and Political Science, Economics and World Languages at Purdue University Northwest held their annual Honor Society Induction Ceremony for Phi Alpha Theta (PAT) and Pi Sigma Alpha (PSA), organized by Maribel Lopez, Hadassah Moore and Beth Simac. The formal organization and constitution were completed in 1962, and six chapters qualified to become "charter chapters." \ FAST FACTS Chapters: Nearly 700 Founder: C.
